An old-fashioned celebration of Independence Day in Elizabeth Evans Park. Enjoy live music, Kid's Zone activities, food trucks, beverages, and fun for everyone. A family friendly event. Independence Day Parade
Join us in downtown Mount Dora for a patriotic tribute parade celebrating our country's independence! The City of Mount Dora is seeking entries for the annual Independence Day Parade in beautiful downtown Mount Dora. The parade begins at the corner of Donnelly and 7th Avenue and runs to Charles Avenue.

52nd Annual Mount Dora Bicycle Festival
The City of Mount Dora will be hosting the 2026 Cycle Mount Dora Bicycle Festival, and all profits for the event will help us teach kids how to swim and provide funds for scholarships for those in need. The Mount Dora Bicycle Festival serves as ground zero for pedal power. With a metric century, hilly routes and a Trimble Park 10 mile ride there are options for everyone. Several hundred cyclists of varying skills are expected to take up the ride, and hundreds more will join the celebration. It is Florida’s oldest and largest bike festival.

41st Annual Mount Dora Craft Fair

Christmas Lighted Boat Parade
Come out and enjoy the 34th Annual Lighted Boat Christmas Parade on Lake Dora. The parade begins at the lighthouse on Grantham Pointe (Tremain St & Liberty Ave) and can be seen in various locations on the lake. Holiday Tour of Homes
The 46th annual Holiday Tour of Homes, now sponsored by the GFWC Mount Dora Woman’s Club will feature six area homes, each offering their own unique style and special decorations. All proceeds from the 2025 tour will be donated to LovExtension (lovextension.com), a local volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing nutritional, emotional, and social support to homebound elderly and disabled individuals. Tickets go on sale on November 1st. Tickets will be $30.

Florida Storytelling Festival
The Florida Storytelling Festival is a premier storytelling event, known nationally for its unique combination of workshops, concerts, youthful voices and sense of community. People come from across the state of Florida and beyond to explore and savor the art of storytelling. The festival officially kicks-off with a special Thursday afternoon welcome reception followed by an evening storytelling concert. Friday and Saturday offer opportunities to immerse yourself in workshops, storytelling concerts, story swaps, story slams and lots of informal gatherings. Our wonderful Story Store will offer a multitude of storytelling resources.
